How to make an Amigurumi Pineapple without Sewing

Hello again! It is about time for another amigurumi pattern and I have the perfect one here! But wait, what is amigurumi? For those of you who do know know, amigurumi is the art of making tiny bits of goodness through crochet or knit. I have been making amigurumi for years and they never fail to make people smile! The world needs a little goodness lately, agree? A little sweet, cute, amigurumi pineapple goodness! Even better, this pattern is NO-SEW! That’s right. No sewing at all!

This pineapple is one of the amigurumi items I make for wholesale partners and craft shows. This collection of amigurumi is island themed and also includes whale (free pattern), octopus (free pattern), and spam musubis!

Things you can do with your amigurumi pineapple

amigurumi pineapples

There are endless possibilities that you can do with your amigurumi pineapple (or any amigurumi!). Since this pattern is really quick and easy, you will be able to make tons of these!

1. Stocking Stuffer

With the holidays just around the corner I guess the only question is, why not? Making these for stocking stuffers are genius not only because of the size, but because of how quick it is to whip them up. Not to mention, this totally adds a little touch of personal handmade love to any stocking.

2. Keychains

Amigurumi is often used as keychains, just add a ring and boom! The likelihood of you loosing your keys again is slashed in half. Plus, you can get a bunch of keychain rings on Amazon if you are making them in bulk, or you can find them at nearly any craft store.

3. Stuffed Toys

Children love playing with toys resembling real life objects or things. Knowing exactly where your children’s toys are made and with provides peace of mind. Amigurumi makes for the perfect set of toys for children, especially babies, because of their size and texture. However beware, once you start making toys, it will be very hard to stop! It is so addicting!

4. Party Favors

Throwing an island themed party? I got you! Party favors are something your guests can take home like a souvenir. Again, because amigurumi pineapples are so quick to make, you can make one for each guest.

5. Ornaments

Finally, circling back to the holiday season, ornaments! I just love using amigurumi to decorate trees. Talk about statement piece! Just remember to fluff and avoid over filling amigurumi pieces to make them lighter if you intend on using them as ornaments.

Okay so now that I have given you 5 amazingly adorable reasons to make the amigurumi pineapple, let’s get to the patter.
